Sunday morning shoot + my faves from Hunting Ground
Early Sunday morning (OK, early for me) I met up with Brendan Kitto to take a few snaps outside a second hand tyre yard in Ōtara. Singing came from one church to our right, and we realised mid-shoot we were right in the pathway of another church, as people dressed in their Sunday best walked by. The Polo I'm wearing is from Hunting Ground, a v. cool, newly launched local online vintage store. I love me a turtle neck, and I've put on a few kgs which means most of my jeans are too tight now that I often find myself undoing the top button to be comfortable (lol). So my genius solution to this is buying oversized tops that cover my fly (lol again).
These are my fave shots from the shoot. And I thought I'd chuck up a few of my fave items from Hunting Ground while we're here, to give you a break from my shleepy face.
First up, I'm v into this Lacoste Windbreaker. I love Lactose, cos tennis, but the thing I like most about this is the big pocket it has at the front. You can fit so much shit in there!
Did I tell you about the time I went to Hitch and then I lost and/or someone stole my favourite leather jacket? This jacket reminds me of that jacket. How great are the models on their site ay? Also, this adidas polo is cool and something my mate Sheahan would wear and he's cool too. I almost bought this Kangol bucket but then was like, I think my stupid head is too big, but not everyone has that problem ay.
I love this Lacoste long sleeve and I don't know how it's not sold already tbh. It's another thing I almost bought but then worried about the sleeves not being long enough for my very long arms. But that is a very 'I'm 6 foot tall' specific problem. Remember those colourful fleece jumpers you got as a kid from the Warehouse? They were so fluffy and warm you wore them all the time? This is the adult version of that. And here is one toasty looking Tommy bomber jacket and one toasty Nautica bomber and to continue with my Lacoste obsession, this is a jacket I would also buy, if I wasn't utterly incapable of spilling food all over myself.
